“The Best of Morocco” travel service did an excellent job arranging and customizing our 16-day tour of Morocco. The trip included overnight stays in nine (9) different Moroccan cities and visits to all the “must-see” places in Morocco, including an overnight stay at a Sahara Luxury tented camp. Our driver and constant companion, Mahjoub Lendar, skillfully navigated us along numerous narrow and curvy highways and sometimes dirt roads for a total of slightly over 3,300 km. Despite the sometimes challenging roads and traffic, we always felt safe in Lendar’s hands, because he was ever-vigilant and careful. He also would explain many of the things we would see along the way. His talents included the ability to speak four languages (Arabic, English, Spanish, and French).

Our accommodations mostly were in traditional Riads located in the town or city centers, usually in the ancient Medina sections. Although we were apprehensive when we approached our first couple Riads, located often in narrow alleyways, we soon found that the Riad doors opened into an opulent world of traditional Moroccan tiled floors and walls, intricately-carved wooden ceilings, quiet and well-appointed rooms, and friendly attentive staff. Comparing the Riads booked through “The Best of Morocco” with other Riads nearby, it became clear that our Riads were usually the most centrally located and best appointed of all the Riad options available.

Beyond these tour logistics, the one thing that we appreciated the most about our tour was continuous professional attention given to us by our tour coordinator, Youssef. Although we never met Youssef in person, he was always available by email or by telephone to ensure that every tour detail went smoothly. His help began when we first contacted “The Best of Morocco” to arrange and book our tour and continued throughout our entire time while we were in Morocco. During the booking process, he went out of his way to customize our tour by adding places to visit and by accommodating our requests for several Riad upgrades. He also sent us information about trustworthiness of “The Best of Morocco” to help assuage our concerns about the whole internet booking process. Then during our tour, he would contact us via the driver’s phone and by email to find out how our tour was proceeding. Most impressively, every time we had a question or a request, he would respond immediately with a solution. For example, our booked tour had pre-arranged a local guide for us at only five of our scheduled tourist venues. However, when we asked Youssef about one of the other venues, he went ahead and pre-booked a local guide for us at that site, as well as two additional sites. We can truly say, based on having visited over 100 countries and having taken many tours, that Youseff is one of the very best tour coordinators we have ever engaged. He is a true professional, and through him, we enjoyed the best of Morocco.”

Epic adventure through Morocco!
My trip to Morocco through this private tour was absolutely epic!Firstly, the entire itinerary for this trip was very comprehensive and extensive. It provided us an excellent overview of the entire nation of Morocco. We experienced everything from beautiful mountains, casbahs, ancient Roman ruins, stunning landscapes, tons of historical architecture, museums, Sahara desert with camel rides in the sunset, local markets, etc. It provides tourists with an opportunity to experience the beauty of nature and mesmerizing architecture.Secondly, our driver Abdul was an absolute beauty of a person. He was extremely accommodating by stopping for washroom and snack breaks, and took us to special restaurants when we didn’t want local food. Abdul is a wonderful driver and a great individual to have as a tour guide.My highlight of the trip was visiting the Blue city, spending time in a luxury camp in the desert, going on a camel ride in the sunset, and learning all the history behind the beautiful buildings from the tour guides. Amazing Morocco trip
We had an absolute blast. Abdul was our driver, and he was simply fantastic. He was very patient and kind; my family sometimes wanted different food, and some have diet restrictions, and he went out of his way to drive them to places where they could find food that was suitable for them. We saw so many wonderful places, including the blue city - Chefchaouen, many beautiful ancient cities, breathing architecture, ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis and spent two nights in a luxury desert camp where we were treated like family. They served us wonderful homemade meals and the views of the desert were absolutely breathtaking including the sunset while traveling on camels. Youseff was absolutely wonderful, he was always available and quickly addressed any questions we had, and helped organize the trip according to our liking. The trip was private and customized to our needs. I was a bit nervous about a private trip but after seeing tour busses jam packed with people, I realized our private trip was really the way to go and the price was really amazing. Our photographer friend showed us pictures of her Morocco trip. She had us realize that it is possible to visit Northern Africa with the help of a local tour company. We took the 10 day Classic tour and loved it. If you want to see all the highlights of Morocco, I highly recommend this trip. We had our own driver for the entire time and also private guides in each of the cities we visited. This one-on-one attention was greatly appreciated. While there is quite a bit of driving, we enjoyed the varied landscapes and it's the only way to see as much as possible. There were too many wonderful experiences to mention. Two old friends (males) traveled through Morocco with “Best of Morocco.” Rachid was our driver for all 13 days, Hafid was our host at Royal Luxury Camping in the Sahara and Youseff arranged the tour based on our proposed itinerary and also joined us, with a local guide, during our hike in a beautiful Cedar forest in the High Atlas.This was the only tour company we found that was willing to customize a tour for just two travelers. Rachid was a great driver—friendly, funny, safe, knowledgeable and as reliable as possible. We developed a friendship that led to experiencing out-of-the way and memorable places, people and food that we would never have experienced with larger tours. This included, among others, a tiny unseen plot of land tended by a solitary farmer off the side of a mountain road who we met and who shared with us his freshly picked dates. We stopped for excellent lunches at roadside local places that no large tour would have. A couple of “unscheduled” stops allowed us to meet local Nomads and their children.Of 3 ‘styles’ of accommodations offered, we selected the middle range. Every place we were taken to exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort, amenities and quiet, including the tents in the Sahara (they had full baths, electricity and air conditioning!). We felt that the cost of the trip was not only reasonable, but less expensive than all other options.During our trip, Morocco experienced a terrible earthquake. We were far from it when it happened and were encouraged to stick with our itinerary, which we did. The company, however, arranged for a few changes to our upcoming accommodations to ensure our safety and comfort. Cultural Tour in 9 Days - a fabulous experience
I traveled to Morocco from the US with my husband and sister for a private 9 day tour through "Best of Morocco" tours. We had a fabulous experience overall. Compared to many other tour companies, this one was well priced and accommodated our specific requests. For example, we asked to visit a Moroccan winery for a wine tasting and they made it happen. Haffid was our driver, and he made the trip even more enjoyable. He was hospitable, reliable, and made us feel very safe. His skills were incredibly impressive - he could drive through a busy medina as skillfully as he can off-road the desert dunes. You should request him if you can. The local guides were very knowledgeable. We saw a great deal of the country in a short time. I recommend to those who do not like the heat to not visit in July, when it was 110F in Marrakech during our visit. Also the trip would have been more enjoyable if we had more time to stay- I recommend 2 weeks. All the accommodations were lovely, beautiful unique riads where we were treated well. Thank you for requesting our feedback and giving us a chance to share with you some of our thoughts about our dream vacation. One of the best things about working with your company was the flexibility to mold our vacation to our dreams, expectations, and personalities. Even after we got it all arranged and approved, and after we arrived, we made some changes that added so much to our experience. Going to the coast rather than the mountains, changing some tour times, adding more shopping. and a few other changes allowed us to experience more of Morocco our way. Our guide/driver was terrific. He was always close by or available to guide us through the mazes, offer suggestions, help negotiate, and protect us from locals who wanted to offer us alternative tours. He was always willing to do anything we needed or wanted and shared with us some local experiences that we would not have otherwise experienced. The seafood feast and the barbeque over the pass are just a few of the experiences that we will always fondly remember. He arranged local tour guides who were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. All the local guides were great. The accommodations were outstanding. Each new Riad or hotel exceeded what we had experienced in the prior city and they all definitely exceeded our expectations. Even the desert camp was much more than we could have imagined. The tents, the food, the service and the camel ride at sunset all were spot on. Upgrading was definitely worth the cost and made our time out and about each day much more pleasant having rested well the night before. Morocco is much larger than we expected and so our driving time between cities was longer than we had prepared for. This was mostly our fault since we did not carefully consider travel time between our cities, but I think the material could have more accurately indicated travel time between cities. Thankfully, the vehicle was comfortable with plenty of room. Overall, I definitely rate our time with your company as one of the best vacations we could have hoped for and it exceeded our expectations. We loved the entire Best of Morocco experience and will definitely recommend you to our family and friends who might want to visit your country. A wonderful experience!
We had a wonderful experience with our private Best of Morocco 11-day tour. They answered all of our questions by email ahead of time, helped us reschedule after Morocco closed their borders due to Omicron, and everything was just as promised. Our driver, Abdel, was fantastic, always making sure we got all the pictures we wanted, that we had enough water, etc. The tour guides they arranged for us in Rabat, Fes, and Marrakesh were all fun and knowledgeable.
