Walking Holidays in the High Atlas
3 days (2 nights) High Atlas
May - mid October
Day 1 - about 4 hours walking
07.30 transfer from Marrakech by road (2 hours) to Oukaimaden (the ski resort of Marrakech at 2,400 m altitude) where the trek begins. Walk up to Tizi n'Eddi (2,982 m), then descend to Tachedirt for overnight camp.
Day 2 - about 7 hours walking
Walk to Tizi n' Tamatert (2,297 m) and then on towards Aremd (1,800 m) and then to the Tizi n' Mziz pass (2,500 m) towards Azib Tamsoult (2,300 m) where you will camp for the night.
Day 3 - about 6 hours walking
Descend to the village of Tizi Oussem, cross the Tizi n' Techt Pass (2,000 m) and down to Imi Ourlade (1,350 m) where the trek ends.
Return to Marrakech by road, arriving around 6.30 pm.
