Villa Maroc in Essaouira

Staying at the Villa Maroc is more like staying in a private house, at once relaxed and informal. It is located in the heart of Essaouira and yet just minutes from the beach. Meals are served in one of the lounge areas (which have fireplaces), the patio or the roof top terrace depending on the time of year. The roof-terrace has superb views across the medina and the coast and is where guests can sunbathe. The villa, originally two 18th Century riads (houses built round a central courtyard) has 17 rooms and suites and 2 apartments.

Other facilities at the Villa Maroc include a hammam and internet access (internet is chargeable).

Ideal for families and individuals alike. Noted for its relaxed atmosphere and good food. Very "House & Garden".

Spot on for visiting Essaouira. Compared to Marrakech and Skoura Riads, a bit on the largish size so attention not so personal. But still fantastic place to stay. Food very very good. R.T in February 2008
