Temperatures Weather

As we all know, global climate predictions have now become fairly meaningless. Listed below are the average temperatures that have existed in the past, however they are no longer reliable and should only be used as a guideline. Christmas and New Year over the past four or five years have enjoyed warm temperatures in Marrakech, but this does not mean that next year or the year after will be the same. Morocco is in the northern hemisphere and therefore rain should fall between December and March, but the country has suffered drought for five or six years so rain has fallen less frequently than normal. Whilst we would like to be able to make firmer predictions, this would be unwise and misleading to the traveller.

The distinct sections of Morocco (Coast on the west, Atlas Mountains in the interior, Sahara Desert on the east) also make for differing climate across the country. This is described in detail in the BBC Weather Morocco guide.
