This year the sofitel is the last hotel on the beach area, but already there were signs of new buildings beyond. The staff are very attentive, specially arround the pools and beach, and it is nice to give the odd tip. Our room was very quiet and comfortable. There is a private area on the beach but swimming in the sea was not too good because there had been storms and it was very rough. You can walk on the promenade to the other end of the beach front where there are restaurants and cafes.,but it gets more and more busy as you approach the town area.. The Hotel is a large resort and the sunbathing chairs get filled up very quickly, The open air restaurant at lunch time was good, but the buffet restaurant for evenings I would give a miss. There is one other which is a better choice. There are the 'red' taxis which are very good value. We managed to get one driver every time we went out by phone, we would let it ring twice and he would be waiting for us. T.P. in March 2010
