Sawadi in Skoura - Clients

our least favourite place, the breakfasts were skimpy, the owner unapproachable and elusive but the staff were very helpful when we couldn't leave because the waddi was deep and fast flowing-we left about 6 hours late meaning our journey was in the evening and fog prevented us getting our the pass til the following day. We had to stop at 'Sunset Hotel' an interesting experience!! Rating 3/5 J.N in March 2010
This was a lovely place to stay -- great food and a wonderful setting. We were glad we had a driver though, as it seems to be in the middle of a maze! J.A in October 2009
Our favourite place, just loved it. We immediately felt relaxed and at home when we got there after a very long day, the host and staff were lovely, the food excellent, the accommodation and surrounding area excellent, just brilliant. Wished we had had a day extra here! S.J in September 2009
We couldn't believe we had this kashab all to ourselves! The owner informed the caretaker to give us an aircon house since we complained the detached one had no aircon. We had the best meals in this place. Dinner was delicious and we had our first taste of ice-cream! Breakfast served with awesome homemade yoghurt and jam. We bought a bottle of their apricot jam, the hint of sweetness was just about right for us. The pool, the vegetable gardens, the family rooms etc. just beautiful and peaceful. K.P. in September 2009
A highlight of the holiday. Philippe and his staff were all helpful and welcoming. The instructions for getting there were good, and we found the trip quite entertaining. Very relaxing atmosphere in beautiful gardens, with privacy of attractive little bungalow room. Liked the fact that the food was grown on-site and was really fresh and home -made. Enjoyed our visit to Skoura market which is for locals rather than tourists. L.M. in May 2009
This was an exciting and different riad to visit with a very friendly owner and excellent staff. (I knew the last 7km was over an very unmade ( but attractive) road but I would have liked to have been warned if I had had a bad back!). Attractive gardens and smallholding to wander around. The food was excellent. A very good place to stay at. T.W. in April 2009
I wish we had been able to stay longer. Had a really good welcome from the owner and his team. Really excellent dinner. NB: ask for a room further away from the swimming pool and childrens' swings in order to avoid being woken up at 7.30am. J.P. in October 2008
This was an excellent location and the perfect place to chill out after our long drive from Merzouga. The gardens and pool area were lovely. The staff were very friendly - it would have helped if we had spoken better French as their English was limited. Food particularly good here - some French influence on the Moroccan dishes. P.N. in July 2008
Delightful place to stay, and especially nice spot to chill out. Staff good, and evening meals good quality and inventive. Traditional Moroccan breakfast, supplemented with fresh farm fruit, was excellent. R.C. in October 2007
