Riad Moucharabieh in Marrakech

Situated in the Medina near Bab Doukala two minutes from the main gate, your taxi driver will escort you through the market to the door of this delightful Marrakech riad that offers its guests a warm welcome. Originally built in the 30s', the Riad Moucharabieh was cleverly and artistically restored in 1997 by Didier Vicaire with considerable attention to Moroccan architecture and furnishings.
Made up from two adjoining and interconnecting riads, the original Delacroix wing and the newly completed Matisse wing each have four air-conditioned rooms, the Delacroix wing also has a suite.
The reception, lounge areas and dining room surround the central courtyard all of which have been restored in traditional zelige (mosaic) and tadlakt (plasterwork), carved wood and other Arabesque materials. The dining room serves typical Moroccan breakfast and can also serve a superb dinner with a few hours advance notice from the guests. There is a television room, plunge pool and a jacuzzi (the latter located in front of the reception).
Roof teraces with parasols and sun chairs afford guests plenty of space for relaxation. Massages are available at an extra charge.
Ideal for those seeking an authentic Moroccan Riad in an exciting location.
All drinks at the Riad Moucharabieh, including alcoholic drinks - are complimentary.

Feedback and reviews
Loved this Riad - we were looked after extremely well, particularly by Majit. Breakfast was great as were the dinners. Wine flowed whenever we requested it and we swam in the pool and sat on the roof tops. For three days we had our side of the Riad completely to ourselves. We did find the room rather dark, very difficult to read - electricity was dicey! F.H. in October 2008
We didn't quite know what to expect of Morocco, tho' on re-reading your website I realise what good descriptions it gives. Riad Moucharabieh was delightful, such an oasis of calm with very discreet, quiet service. J. R. and family in November 2005
