Le Jardins de Skoura Hotel - Clients

We were lucky in the river had subsided sufficiently to enable us to drive through it without problems. Apparently, there had been difficulties some days earlier, after the heavy rain. Driving through the river is somewhat nerve racking, but the instructions for finding the hotel were perfectly satisfactory. This hotel is excellent, and in a beautiful setting. We want to go back. D.P. in March 2010
very comfortable hotel with an excellent room (and our own terrace). Food very good but we were nearly marooned there (as others had been the previous week) because the river rose so much it was impassable. Luckily, we just made it on our morning of departure (with 4x4), although incoming guests were not so lucky and had to stay the main road side. A.N in March 2010
It is certainly a lovely spot--gorgeous public spaces, lovely details in the nice rooms and bathrooms. Our daughters, unfortunately (and this occurred at every place we stayed), were given the least comfortable and noisiest room--directly next to the reception and dining areas on New Year's Eve. The food was quite good. They had difficulty sleeping. Rating 3.5-4 out of 5. B.G. in January 2010
Was great. I think our bathroom was my favourite room of the whole holiday! There is no getting away from the fact that it is quite a drive off the main road, but for us that was part of the adventure. One of the best things we did all holiday was the 1/2 day walking tour of the oasis that Les Jardins arranged for us - being shown around and handed fresh pomegranate, almonds etc to munch as we walked! This place is magic and the best of all the places we stayed. Wonderful rooms Caroline the owner was very kind and arranged for us to have a guide around the Palmeries. The food was good. It is so peaceful here and we will dream of this place for a long time. Rating: 5 out of 5. J.N. in November 2009
We thoroughly recommend a few days in this oasis after the hustle and bustle of the city. Caroline runs a professional small hotel which is also relaxed and friendly, where meeting other guests in the informal garden is a pleasant feature. Strongly recommend a guided walking tour around the Palmerie to give a sense of where you are. L.G. in November 2009
Charming hotel with an amazing garden. Very friendly and welcoming staff. The owner, made this place a real gem. The rooms a very individual and furnished with local artifacts. A very special place to stay. S.W. in October 2009
Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The twin suite was beautifully decorated and the food was AMAZING! The surroundings were also beautiful. R.M. in November 2009
A little gem of a hotel hidden away in the Palmerie. The owner has decorated the hotel beautifully, providing many lovely touches which give it a real rustic charm. Despite its isolation, we had everything we could wish for including a cake for my birthday. The staff were delightful and nothing was too much trouble. G.R. in October 2009
This is a beautiful spot and Carol was so welcoming and full of useful information on the area. I only wish we could have spent an extra night here to fully explore the Palmerie and nearby Kasbahs. R.F. in june 2009
Caroline, the owner, was charming and very helpful. We were moved from a ground floor suite to one on the first floor with our own private terrace which was stunning. The atmosphere is very relaxing, food good and all the staff looked after us very well. We went on a guided walk through the Palmerie with Kemal, a local man. We would strongly recommend doing this as it was a highlight of our holiday. M.H. in May 2009
A delightful stay in the midst of the Skoura palmery. The hotel is hidden away well off the beaten track, but very clearly signposted from the main road. The guided walk in the palmery is not to be missed. R.F. in March 2009
Les Jardins de Skoura was wonderful and we regretted that we only had one night. We should have stayed longer so that we could have enjoyed the garden etc more fully. C.P. in October 2008
we were really glad to spend an extra day and night at Les Jardins de Skoura, which is a beautiful tranquil hotel. Caroline and Catherine were so hospitable and friendly, putting us up for the extra night in their best suite. We also had the opportunity to explore the village and surrounding countryside (flooded river!) with Mohammed the gardener from the hotel. M.H. in October 2008
This was a real gem - we arrived hot, tired and hungry - were quietly shown to our room and then were treated to probably the best salad I have ever had. The chef at Les Jardins is sensational. J.A. in September 2008
First class accommodation. Most friendly staff. Beautiful rooms with all the facilities. The gardens were a perfect setting for dining under the stars. Best meal we had in Morocco. Breakfast by the pool then relaxing in the hammocks under the trees enjoying the surroundings deep in the palm groves. Highly recommended. V.H. in May 2008
Very enjoyable and relaxing. The standard room was way above 'standard'. Food good and walks around very pleasant and different. J.C. in April 2008
delightful in every way, Carolina was utterly in tune with her guests, and went out of her way to make everyone feel at home. Staff great. Environment extraordinary and we felt we had been given a glimpse of what life was really like in an oasis a long way from anywhere! We were dismayed by the piste-type approach of several Km. As we were driving a hire-car, and knowing we had yet to drive to Marrakesh over the mts. etc we decided to stay put, and didn't use the car at all while we were there...walking and taking a local guide and getting a lift with Caroline when she went shopping. gorgeous garden and we felt we were part of the family. A.L. in April 2008
Outstanding, and a unique experience to find such relaxed style in the middle of such a large and beautiful oasis. M.S. in February 2008
Very relaxing again service and attention impeccable. Ideal place to steam out. R.T. in February 2008
A delightful place, the rooms so cosy and beautiful and Caroline and her staff, so attentive that we really enjoyed our stay there and would love to return. H.G. in December 2007
Excellent in every way, fabulous room and food, loved the garden and the pool, very welcoming with excellent service. H.W. in November 2007
We would definitely go back to Les Jardins de Skoura - gorgeous place, charming and warm welcome, beautiful rooms. A place to stay for several days to discover the Dades Valley which we particularly liked. B.R. in November 2007
