La Roseraie Hotel in Ouirgane
La Roseraie is a remarkable property tucked away in the foothills of the High Atlas mountains at an altitude of 3,000 ft. next to the village of Ouirgane (pronounced Weer-gan) and only about 90 minutes drive from Marrakech. The hotel is set in 50 acres of beautiful rose gardens, park and farmland. The climate is gentle in winter and moderate in summer.
... read_more...You will find yourselves in the heart of Berber countryside where paths lead to picturesque villages and hamlets, through forests and hunting reserves filled with wild-life. Streams from the snow-capped mountains cascade through the countryside with its carpet of wild flowers, olive trees, orange, lime, lemon and grapefruit trees.
The extraordinarily colourful rose gardens bloom from April to December, though April and May are the most resplendent months. Local colour can also be seen at the nearby souks at Ouirgane on Thursdays and Asni on Saturdays.
La Roseraie has 40 cottage-style rooms and suites, all with bathroom, patio leading into the gardens and some junior suites with an open wood-burning fireplace. There are 4 swimming pools (1 indoor and 3 outdoor, the latter are not heated) and 2 tennis courts. The adequate meals are served on the shaded terrace or the indoor restaurant. There is a cosy lounge with a roaring fire for the chilly winter evenings. La Roseraie is a perfect haven for relaxation, peace and healthy living. A paradise for artists, birdwatchers, gardeners and ramblers alike.
La Roseraie Riding Centre
The well established riding centre at La Roseraie has superb Arab horses which guests can ride by the hour or by the day or with a local guide into the surrounding countryside, spending one to five nights in simple Berber houses en route.
La Roseraie Health Centre
Please note that the La Roseraie Pinewood Center for Spa and hydrotherapy is closed for refurbishment since the 1st January 2008.
The Perseids' Meteoric Swarm (Shooting stars)
The night of August 12th to 13th is the culminating point of this cosmic rain, and La Roseraie is a good location to watch this with extensive gardens not affected by light pollution. Read more

Feedback and reviews
The Roseraie was heaven on earth and we tried everything on offer, from tennis to the hammam (even the children!), took a guide into the surrounding villages and rode horses into the mountains. A real experience to remember, and our 11 year old son is already planning his next visit. L.T. in February 2007
we stayed at La Roseraie where again everyone was very friendly and we were particularly impressed with the food and looked forward to our evening meals. The gardens were lovely (even though the roses weren't all in full bloom) and peaceful which was just what we needed after Marrakech! K.&C. in April 2004
