Hotel Kasbah Mohayut in Merzouga
The Kasbah Mohayut hotel is situated in the Merzouga dunes, off the road between Merzouga and Rissani (and onto Erfoud).
The position at the foot of the highest of the dunes offers stunning views from the panoramic terrace and makes the hotel an excellent base for a camel trek and overnight stop in the dunes themselves.
Hotel facilities include a restaurant serving traditional Berber food and a swimming pool.

A charming hotel, excellent accommodation, restaurant and staff. Particularly helpful reception staff. Visit to local lake and village (Kem Kem) proved a good way to spend the day before the camel trek. Surprisingly good lunch in simple cafe restaurant in village. Navigation instructions to find the hotel worked perfectly and there was no sign of motorcycle navigation touts. D.P. in March 2010
A beautiful place, so near to the dunes. The shower was slightly cranky (but we got used to that) but the room was comfortable and the food OK. A very warm welcome and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Rating 4/5 A.N in March 2010
