Hotel Kasbah Mohayut in Merzouga
The Kasbah Mohayut hotel is situated in the Merzouga dunes, off the road between Merzouga and Rissani (and onto Erfoud).
The position at the foot of the highest of the dunes offers stunning views from the panoramic terrace and makes the hotel an excellent base for a camel trek and overnight stop in the dunes themselves.
Hotel facilities include a restaurant serving traditional Berber food and a swimming pool.

Kasbah Mohayut was a great base from which to explore the dunes. The guys who run the kasbah were so friendly - we really felt like part of the family by the end of our stay - and full of interesting information on the area and its history. We were also treated to an additional trip through the dunes and to more remote villages, which I would highly recommend. R.F. in june 2009
Another highlight of the holiday. Moha, Hassan and their team are so welcoming, and couldn't do enough for us. Really enjoyed the buffet evening meals in the garden which looked so pretty when lit at night, and the terrace which overlooked the sand dunes. Would certainly recommend this little hotel.
