Hotel Kasbah Mohayut in Merzouga

The Kasbah Mohayut hotel is situated in the Merzouga dunes, off the road between Merzouga and Rissani (and onto Erfoud).

The position at the foot of the highest of the dunes offers stunning views from the panormaic terrace and make the hotel an excellent base for a camel trek and overnight stop in the dunes themselves.

The restaurant serves traditional Berber food.

The kasbah has a swimming pool.

Mohammad and his staff were fantastically welcoming and the whole place is delightful. They put on a incredible feast for New Years Eve which defeated even my ravenous boys and it was amazing to wake up and find oneself on the edge of the dunes. We all loved it. The [Deep desert] camp was really cosy, nestled out of the wind and the food was delicious. We had a roaring fire and were all as warm as toast in our very comfortable beds. It was a huge success.
