The kasbah is made of pisé (reinforced mud) and has a definite charm and character of its own. For those seeking authenticity in typical Saharien style, this is an ideal alternative to Ouarzazate for a night or two and of course lends itself to exploring the Dades, Todra and Draa Valleys which are within easy driving distance.
The Ben Moro is very simple. Power generator until 11 p.m., thereafter it is candles for reading and hot-water can be erratic or slow.
The Ben Moro will gladly provide a local guide to explore the surrounding palm groves and simple villages and kasbahs to the north of Skoura.
