Jnane Tamsna Hotel in Marrakech
Moroccan minimalist in style, Jnane Tamsna is a cool and elegant take on tradition - a sort of Moorish hacienda. It stands in its own grounds in the Marrakech Palmeraie, surrounded by the organic vegetable and herb gardens which provide the produce and seasoning for its Moroccan- Mediterranean cuisine.
... read_more...There are ten spacious rooms arranged on two floors around twin central garden courtyards. All have large, attractive bathrooms with their surfaces fashioned from softly-coloured tadlakt (polished plaster). Roof terraces and Moorish arched arcades provide open-air spaces for lazy hours of lounging. There are also five suites each decorated in a different Islamic- inspired fashion.
There are two heated swimming pools, a clay tennis court and a TV room. Beauty treatments and massage are available on request. Co-owner Meryanne Loum-Martin designed much of the striking furniture, some of which is for sale in her boutique, Riad Tamsna, in the Medina.
Taxis have to be ordered to get into Marrakech.
