Dar Zitoune in Taroudant
Dar Zitoune is a Taroudant hotel, 2km outside the city walls. It was created in Berber style using local materials and is made up of 12 bungalow-type rooms and 8 suites set in 4 acres of landscaped grounds with olive, palm and orange trees and a 20 metre pool . Each room is air-conditioned with satellite TV, a safe, phone and internet access. The suites offer greater space and comfort - junior suites are 40m2, while the senior suites are 60m2.
Dar Zitoune also offers its guest a small spa with hammam (steam room), sauna, heated jacuzzi pool, and a choice of massage treatments (all about 300dh each). The hotel restaurant prepares a choice of Moroccan and European meals.

Hotel has a beautiful setting amongst the orange and olive groves, but it is rather a soulless place, particularly the diningroom. Our bedroom was small and dark (possibly on purpose because of the heat?), but nice bathroom. Excellent food and v. nice staff. We enjoyed our trip to the Medina even though we know we paid far too much for everything! Not sure there is a lot to do in Taroudant unless you ride. Overall rating 3.5/5. MvdW in November 2009
This was another elegant and superb place to stay at with lovely gardens and swimming pool with comfortable loungers. We probably spent more time on the loungers than in Taroudant! Excellent breakfasts in the open air outside our own place and evening dining was also very pleasant in the gardens. One disappointing meal. Very friendly staff. T.W. in April 2009
