Dar Anebar Riad in Fez - Clients

Superb. Atmospheric, exotic, immaculate. Great food, fabulous personal service. Sensationally good staff: we felt like family. Dinner for free on the last night because we ate there three nights out of four. Evocative ambience: broodingly mysterious. I wanted to steal all the furniture and fittings. Not for footballers' wives. C.E. in April 2010
Charming traditional riad with rooms around courtyard, service friendly and impeccable, rooms spacious and beautifully decorated. Electrical system had some interesting idiosyncrasies, but not serious. Reception arranged for good guides, in particular, Ibrahim who took us for a full day's driving excursion. (This riad is excellent, and is scored 4/5 only to leave room for higher scores at some others). D.P. in March 2010
Aziz, Mustafa and the rest of the staff made Dar Anebar by far our favorite place we stayed in during our recent trip. The riad is lovely and quiet, the rooms and bathrooms stunning (though if you travel with children as we did--ours being in their 20s--you will probably land the one smallish, dark but charming room), to food incredible (best traditional Moroccan we had on the whole), and the staff as friendly and helpful as one could want. Fes itself was not to be missed--fewer tourists, a quieter pace of life than Marrekech, and a deep pride in its artistic and cultural traditions that sang out on every street corner. We engaged a fabulous guide through some contacts we had and saw some of the hidden gems of the city. Rating: 5 out of 5. B.G. in January 2010
Excellent Riad, so luxourious, couldn't have asked for a better room. Slight annoyance as they told us it was too dangerous to go and eat in the town afterdark, which we later discovered was rubbish said to try and get us to eat in the Riad. R.H. in October 2009
Dar Anebar is beautiful except after almost 20 hours flight and 6 hours in car, we needed a lot of adjustment to climate and culture. We didn't really sink in the first day, though I was already taken aback by the meticulous Moroccan decors. Dinner was delicious almost too much. K.P. in August 2009
Beautiful riaid, palatial room with the most enormous bed we've ever encountered. Friendly service. Very lavish meals. L.M. in May 2009
What an amazing Riad, a nice surprise to find such a haven after walking along dirty, unpaved alleyways and streets in the Medina, wondering where on earth we were being lead to. Excellent room, great dinner, lovely people. The manager organized a tour of the Medina for us as well as a day out to Volubulis and Meknes - both well worth doing. Only complaint would be that it was very difficult to find. P.G. in December 2008
lovely Riad, well run and Ahmed and his staff were delightful. It does suffer however from being on the edge of the Medina, given how easy it is to get lost! we would advise you to make it clear to future clients that food is available in the evening there (at extra cost obviously) and is very good - we did not realise this until the night before we left. C.B. in October 2008
Ahmed and his "team" looked after us SO well. Very comfortable riad. NB if you like reading - take a high wattage bulb! J.P. in October 2008
Without a doubt, Dar Anebar was our favourite. It is such a beautiful place, but it was the feeling of welcome and friendship from Ahmed and Aziz that made it particularly special. When we left, my husband told Ahmed we wished we could take his riad with us for the rest of the journey. J.T. in April 2008
excellent in every way...food, service, delightful people and atmosphere. Very splendid accomodation. A.L. in April 2008
Very friendly with excellent service - really made us feel at home S.W. in March 2008
