Bab Ourika in Ourika Valley

Perched majestically on a hilltop, this Kasbak has 360 degree panoramic views over the Ourika Vally with its traditional Berber villages and river, and onwards to the Atlas mountains.

The hotel has been constructed and is run in an eco-friendly way, with thick insulating walls obviating the need for air-conditioning, and hot water and underfloor heating powered by solar panels. A bigodigester is also intended to create electricity and compost for both the Kasbah and the village below.

hotel features include the collonaded restaurant serving fresh food supplied from the local villages, secluded swimming pool and massage room. The gardens and front terrace all have lovely views over the valley.

The Kasbah has a guide who can lead you on a variety of treks around the Ourika Valley.

The rooms are all individually decorated. Three suites are on the ground floor with views over the valley, showers, and fireplaces. The other 10 rooms are on the first floor. The deluxe suite is a spacious room with sofa area, walk in dressing room, vaulted bathroom with shower and bath, and a private balcony area. The deluxe rooms mostly have a small terrace and/or fireplace as well as a sower and bath. The superior rooms have views of the valley and a shower.
