

Atta Saharan Camp in Merzouga
The Atta Saharan Camp is located in the heart of the Ait Atta tribe territories. It provides an in-depth discovery of the nomadic tribes of the Berber Culture in a wonderful area located only six hours from Ouarzazate. It is environmentally friendly, having strict waste, water and energy management.
The surroundings are the stunning landscapes of the Saharan Desert: sand dunes, tassilis and canyons. The camp is arranged according to the ancient architectural traditions of nomadic tribes of Morocco, and provides a high level of modern comfort.
There are 10 comfortably furnished twin room tents and a spacious and comfortable centrally located cultural tent to relax, share experiences and learn about the Berbers (there is a chest library offering a variety of books and music on the vibrant culture of the nomadic tribes of Ait Atta and Ait Khabbash.). Shower and bathroom tents are located apart from the tented rooms; hot water is available.
Included in the price is traditional Berber food (Full board), a selection of activities including trekking, short walks or 4-wheel drive excursions and an introduction to living in the desert with an english-speaking guide during which you will learn to make tea and taguela (flat bread, similar to naan), and working with camels.
