Amanjena Hotel in Marrakech
The Amanjena brings the Amanresort's particular concept of high expense luxury hotel to North Africa and Marrakech. At the heart of the resort is the bassin, a massive fish-filled reservoir of water that feeds two shallow canals running between the 32 sunset-red-coloured pavilions and six two-bedroom maisons.
Each air-conditioned pavilion is a vast and lavish private residence comprising a bedroom with domed living room area, king-size bed, spacious bathroom and dressing area, open fireplace, mini-bar, private courtyard complemented by a gazebo, a lounge sofa and dining area. The Pavilion Piscine has a private pool.
The maisons are distinguished by marble columns and a zellij wall fountain. Upstairs there is a master bedroom and bathroom; the ground floor has a living and dining area with connecting bedroom and bathroom. They also come with private swimming pool and gazebo. Just to add a final touch, the two Jardin maisons and the Al Hamra maison are favoured with a private garden, served by a personal butler. One could get used to this style of living.
Features of Amanjena include the adjacent Amelkis 18-hole championship golf course; serene courtyards and covered salons; a library; Moroccan restaurant graced with 80 onyx columns; a restaurant serving International and Thai cuisine; a heated pool with surrounding terrace where lunch and refreshments are served; health centre with 2 hammams, steam baths, whirlpools, gym, massage rooms, beauty salon and floodlit tennis courts; a selection of small boutiques with Moroccan antiques and crafts. Wireless broadband connections are available in all resort accommodations and public areas.
